I didnt show how to download No$GBA because i already show it in my last video. Link: How to downoad No.
Quote: THIS IS ONLY TESTED ON NO$GBA 2.6a I have only passed the second gym, only 1 trainer loop. If someone can upload SoulSilver with the Bios I will add it to this post How: Used to Unpack the Heart Gold Rom Find a file with the name Guru2 Delete it Repack Get your own NDS Bios Play This can also be used for Soul Silver.
Troubleshooting: IF YOU GET A BLACK SCREEN DO THE FOLLOWING 1. Open No$gba 2.6a (not tested on 2.6, but more than likely will work) and open emulation setup 2. Change the drop down option on 'Reset/Startup Entrypoint' to 'GBA BIOS' 3. IMPORTANT: Go to file and select cartridge menu (filename) Do not reset cartridge or it will crash if you get the save file cannot be written or w/e 1.
Go to emulation setup and change 2. NDS-Cartridge Backup Media to FLASH 512kbytes (if you have 2.6a set it to auto) Game may freeze randomly, use these to fix.
Code: Pokemon HeartGold (U)fix code: 020DD9E4 E1A00000 020D3820 E1A00000 Pokemon Soul Silver (U)fix code: 020DE16C E1A00000 020D3FA8 E1A00000Make sure you load the ROM with GBA BIOS selected or it more than likely will not work. What this did I removed the AP from the ROM This means that it should run with minimal black screening, trainer loops and other things that were happening before. If this is not the case I can remove it, as I have only beaten the second gym I do not know if the full game is playable or not. Minor Glitches: Some times when transitioning to different buildings or zones the people become black squares, to fix this re-enter the zone or ignore it Abilities like water gun and stuff look bad.
IF YOU SAVE THE GAME, AND THEN IN SOME WAY CRASH THE ROM YOUR SAVE WILL BE LOST. SOLUTION FOR THE NO$GBA USERS!!! Follow these instructions: - Download the latest NO$GBA (2.6a) and NO$ZOOMER (2.3.0.2) - Download biosnds7.rom and biosnds9.rom. Put them together in the same directory with the game.nds and the emulators. Open your NO$ZOOMER and change the startup entrypoint to: GBA Bios (Nintendo Logo) - Your HG/SS game will open normally and successfully pass the black screen. You may get a freeze every 20-25 minutes so be sure to save often. I tried this, and it didnt work.
I cant open the rom at all with the startup set to bios. I have the 2 bios files in the same folder as the zoomer, and when i try to open the heart gold rom, it looks like it's working (the speed thing at the top says 100%) but it just gives a white screen. Then i tried putting the bios files in the folder with the game rom, and it gave me a message saying that i needed the bios files to start the game, as though i didnt already have them (then it said the rom image had crashed). I am having a unique problem. I managed to get passed the black screen of death, and I save frequently so the crashing is not an issue.
But starting in Violet City, I started having this bizarre issue. First, the game would stop loading tiles.
This usually happens when you try to take advantage of a glitch in the 4th generation games known on bulbapedia as 'tweaking'. At this point I would try going into a building in order to allow the game to work itself out.
The ROM then crashes. Now, regardless of how many times I have saved, quit and relaunched the emulator and reloaded the save file; as soon as this glitch happens, any progress made following the 'how to catch a pokemon' tutorial just outside of Newbark town is lost. If anyone is experiencing this, could you recommend a workaround or a fix?
Make sure you are using the correct code that corresponds to the particular version that you are playing! I'm playing the US SoulSilver btw!
SAVE AND RESTART EMULATOR OFTEN! I'm on the way to union cave! So far the only crash i've had was upon leaving the Ruins Of Alph research house!
Sorry for double posting, but I'm no expert and i just tried something new, I entered the Ruins with codes for BOTH games on. Entered and left Ruins of Alph research house with no problems. Tried to save in the Ruins and No$GBA started running at 50% and didnt finish saving! Restarted emulator and to my suprise, the game DID save!
With only the SoulSilver code on, I entered the Research House again over and over again with no problems! Did not attempt to save again! Can or someone else experiment with both codes on post their results?! EDIT: I think that activating the HeartGold cheat in SoulSilver only causes the aforementioned saving problem!
Saved normally with it off but froze during save with it on and still loaded properly from where the game froze! (i believe that the game saves all data then freezes before saying - saved the game! Which is why the game still pulls up properly!). Wow this US version AP is killing me.- I don't think we're allowed to upload BIOS, that's the part that's normally illegal:/ You can Google it, BIOS 7 and BIOS 9 should be the files you need Hey, has anyone else tried activating the cheat to bypass black screen, deactivate and then play as normal?
It seems to crash less for me:/ HOW TO USE JAPANESE.SAV WITH USA VERSION ROM! 1) Rename your save file to the name of your new US rom 2) Play the game I think this means you can use the same Pokesav with US HGSS as well:3 Rom runs for me at 90-28% overworld on No$gba Runs at around 175% in battles Using the following No$gba setting: Unlimited MHZ 100%. Hmm, I suppose I should share to you guys how I was able to run my USA HG ROM with only the minor problems like the Battle pausing and then a one-time crash (always remember to save often and close the emulator afterwards to be safe).
Here's what I used: - eNDryptS Advanced (for encrypting/decrypting your ROMs) - NDS Top System (for checking if your ROM is encrypted/decrypted) - Firmware files from your NDS (these includes: BIOSGBA.ROM, biosnds7.ROM, biosnds9.ROM, firmware.bin, key.cfg) Make sure you have all of these. no$GBA ver. 2.6a - Clean HG/SS ROM (if you've got yourselves the patched ones, you're pretty much screwed) 1. Check if your HG/SS ROM Header is clean via NDS Top System. If it says it's corrupted, you will need to use eNDryptS Advance. If it says the header is correct and encrypted, head to Step 3.
If your ROM is decrypted, run the eNDryptS Advance. Make sure it's in the same folder as your ROM. Just follow the on-screen instructions, going with option 1 and it'll do the rest for you. After that, exit. Open up any ROM with no$GBA 2.6a. Go to Options - Emulation Setup. Look under Reset/Startup Entrypoint and select GBA BIOS (Nintendo Logo) and press OK.
Go at Options again and then 'Save Options'. Close the emulator, open up this time your new encrypted ROM and start playing. Finally, the reminder of saving and closing the emulator itself after saving is a must. Other than that, the game runs smoothly for me, I'm about to get to Clair's gym now.
No patches, no cheat codes, no nothing. Just these should be enough.
Version 6 details. Thanks to Rykin and Poryhack, some graphics have been edited. It now comes with Katakana names for the guys who care about legit Pokemon. The Pokemart's sells men should now be mostly in english. There have been many fixes to some of the item names and descriptions. The Fly screen has been translated. No$GBA users, if you have version 2.6 for No$GBA, set option NDS-Cartridge Backup Media to FLASH 512KBytes.
Make sure you save options and restart the emulator afterwards. Also the following code helps with the black screens, use it as AR and RAW.
Thanks to Chase-san. You're actually pretty smart to do this!! Nintendo are noobs 'cause these type of stuff aren't supposed to take THAT long.
Like 7 months for Translation?! Those guys suck at Translating. If they ever hire me, it'll take less than a month! Especially if it's just copy and paste! Like, they can use a GBC File of Text Files and Copy and Paste!
Game Freak and Nintendo suck for Translating for too long. However, their games are awesome - only if they hire better Translators like me! You do realise that it takes so long for a translation not because of the actual transltaion, but also conversion to PAL (talking about Europe here, but America doesn't have that problem, just the next part), and things like that.
Also, they tend to fix more bugs in the translated because of this conversion, so. I admit, it takes too long to be honest. I would rather wait for the actual Nintendo translation (due to. Well, I prefer it), but you are doing well! You do realise that it takes so long for a translation not because of the actual transltaion, but also conversion to PAL (talking about Europe here, but America doesn't have that problem, just the next part), and things like that. Also, they tend to fix more bugs in the translated because of this conversion, so. I admit, it takes too long to be honest.Portable systems don’t use PAL.
However, a reason for delays could be that European games must be translated to multiple languages, not just English, before being released. Got a little problem with my heart gold rom i tried to patch it with the first method, after one hour of waiting nothing happened, so i tried the second method in my editme file in following: xdelta patch hgeno$.patch hge.nds hgepatched.nds when i start editme now, a 0kb file is created, but the command box closes after less than one sec and the new file stays at 0kb what to do? I was having this exact same problem but I found the solution. It turns out that the patch which expects the rom to be a certain file size sees it isn't and therefore doesn't patch it, if you got your rom was RomFreaks or something like that where the file size is less than 128 mb it won't work, if you download it from Romulation where it is 128 mb, it patches fine.
^^ EDIT: With regards to the no freezing patch, I applied the translation patch for no$ which I use for my M3Real, then the no freeze and it didn't affect the translation patch, so I am hoping it doesn't get the black screen anymore. I got a SuperCard DSOne, and I used the HGEP file in batch patching. Saving and loading again works perfectly, and no freezes until now (playing like 20 minutes) btw, great work! Hope you finish translating it before the english version leaks! XDDDD edit: This is a great proof of how copy protection has failed again. I think that the Industry should give up on DRM because there is no real copy protection, because there will be cracks sooner or later for every DRM System. P.S.: SecuROM sucks!
They think if they do it enough it will annoy us to h.ll. Which quite frankly it does, but whatever.

Actually at the time you made this post it had been leaked for more. The rom got leaked a couple days before the game came out. 2 days before it came out the rom got leaked. This translation had also been going on before those roms were even leaked. I have come across a problem with this new patch, whenever i try to open my pokegear the game goes black and a message comes up 'Rom image has rashed'.
Any idea on how to fix this? Probably have some problem with the rom you downloaded. Try a new download from romulation. Does the patch work for SoulSilver? It's not like I'm downloading something like that (I don't download NDS Roms), but I only see heartgold here. It should work for both.
I followed the video, but sometimes in game play it freezes. By the way, I'm playing it on my Ds. Do you know how i can fix this.:) Good job anyway! (Y) It looks like you haven't downloaded the security patch. Alright, here's what you do, I'll tell you exactly what to do to get this with the secuirty patch, so pay attention. 1 Googe this: naspev.com pokemon heart gold japan 2 Go to the first result 3 Scroll down until you find a poster named Ajuko saying 'Pokemon Heart Gold already patched with freeze and English translation patches.
I've uploaded this myself which i tested on R4DS and DSTT and the results were: 'cool, I got a badge!!!!' ' 4 Use the link that Ajuko provided. It has the security patch.
5 Download the translation patcher and put this rom in the 'rom' folder. 6 Patch it like you normally would, and there you go!

You've got the security patch and the translation patch! Two questions: 1) Does this work for no$? 2) If so, do you have a SS one, too? Two problems.
First minor one, the mother isnt translated at all. Second MAJOR problem. When you first start and walk out of the house, your character is MissingNo, an invisible person walks into you, becoming another MissingNo after they fall back and finally, another invisible person walks up, the first invisible person runs, they. Fight I guess?
Or, jump around excited about something. Then the game crashes. Im using NO$DS 2.6. I have tried to play the game first, with default settings, which got nowhere. On second attempted, I set the FLASH to 512MP, which gave same result. Third attempted, I used default settings again and after you speak to the mother, I turned the Black Screen Code OFF, hopeing the cheat was causing this.
Which didnt do anything. Fourth attempted, I turned the code off with the FLASH 512MP settings. Any help please?
I'm having trouble with my saves. I have the saving option set to 512kb (or whatever). I've played for about two and half hours, and have saved plenty of times throughout. But recently, the rom image crashed and I had to exit no$gba. I started it back up, but the game shows that my recent save was at a play time of twenty minutes. I was able to load from a save that was passed twenty minutes before this, so I really have no idea whats going on. I was thinking it was because I was playing with unlimitedhz 10% selected, but I saved while that was on, exited out, and opened it again, and was able to play from the save I just made while 10% was on.
Its NO$GBA I dont see the option.TheZeide Open up no$gba, go to emulation setup, and in the 3D Render box, make sure you have nocash selected. If this isn't it, I don't know what else to since I'm not very familiar with all this business. I'm having trouble with my saves. I have the saving option set to 512kb (or whatever).

I normally copy my save and paste it else where. That way you have a backup. I had this problem once with a Ruby Destiny Game and that solved my problems.

Hi there first post but no the last lol thanks for the translation working great but im having PROBLEM ive got my pokemon, pokedex and ive just gotta learn how to catch pokemon - even tho i know how anyways b4 i can learn how to catch pokemon the freezes (if u notice there are flowers on the floor they still move but i cant move the player ) ive tried google but all i get is toorent stuff that dont help and forum post on differnet forums that dont work either can any1 help me out im using heart gold, No$gba.

Quote by Magius '.Everything seems to be in English, except for the YES and NO buttons, I think they are graphics and not text.'
If you want, I could make two icons for those buttons and post them, but I'm not sure if you want me to or not. If you are okay with it, then what image format are the two buttons supposed to be and the size of them (I assume bitmap and around 100x80?) If it is possible to open up the game and open the two icon files, it might save some time and i could find out the format and size. The Yes and No buttons are in English for me already. You have to apply to secuirty patch to it first, not just the translation.
Hi mate i didnt do that i only patched the rom and that was it secuirty patch? Where can i get this then and how to apply to rom thanks EDIT - Alright, here's what you do, I'll tell you exactly what to do to get this with the secuirty patch, so pay attention.

I believe they were talking about the yes and no buttons throughout the game, rather than just the ones at startup. I wasn't sure about what he meant, but the Yes is usually above No in everything in life. Thank you for the clarification everbody!!!
I've been doing homework in between posts, so I just hit Refresh and see what's new. I loathe Powerpoint presentations.Anyways, I can't wait for the English dialogue. This is the best translation project progress-wise (amount done in this short of time) and you have my FULL SUPPORT!!! The Yes and No buttons are still up for offer, so when you read this text wall, just let me know. Have a good day everyone!!!
Im 11 yrs old dude and also dont b so rude. U disgust me 1. Ruka Prince had the patience to actually reply to your ridiculous comment so appreciate it a bit. He/she is right you know. You are disgusted by someone who replied to a rude and completely baseless question you asked. I wonder what you will feel to someone who dares to give you a different opinion in the future. I am disappointed with my myself because i actually lost a minute or two replying to a not-so-respectful 11 year old.
Since i am still typing i guess i too are more immature than i thought. Have a nice day. Ok I did everything correctly but nothing was changed to english. As the first post in the thread states, all the menus, party text, move text, and all the small things are translated to english. The main dialogue of the game is coming along in version 5, which I'm sure Magius is working hard on.:D And speaking of Magius, if you ever need anything done with proofreading or anything related to spelling or grammar for the game, don't hesitate to drop me a PM:D I know I'm new and everything, but I can help you out:D I don't mean to say that you NEED help, but If you do just drop me a PM. Has anyone had trouble using the patch on the Xenophobia version of Heart Gold? I used the version 4 patch on the ROM and it worked fine (apart from some minor OW sprite issues) until I got to a battle.
When I KO'd the pokemon, the game froze and wouldn't respond. I tried using a snapshot and reloading it, but I got an error message and the emulator shut down (using NO$GBA).
This has happened multiple times. Is there any fix for this, or has anyone else experienced this kind of problem? Alright, here's what you do, I'll tell you exactly what to do to get this with the secuirty patch, so pay attention. 1 Googe this: naspev.com pokemon heart gold japan 2 Go to the first result 3 Scroll down until you find a poster named Ajuko saying 'Pokemon Heart Gold already patched with freeze and English translation patches.

5 Download the translation patcher and put this rom in the 'rom' folder. 6 Patch it like you normally would, and there you go! You've got the security patch and the translation patch! This works fine. Even on my DSTT. But for me, only with version 3b. I have a problem with the version 4 patcher.
I used the prepatched Kuzco rom with patch 3b, worked fine. But if I use the Batch patcher for version 4, it says that patching is complete, but nothing happens. The GUI version either does nothing or creates a 0kb patch.nds.
I waited for 10minutes and it was still 0kb. I tried both ways with a clean 128mb rom, only difference from before was that GUI now creates a 32mb file.
Can someone help me? Doesn't ANYONE know something about this?
Magius is not the real owner this guy is and the version is old and no the storyline will not be translated! Magnius is doing his own translation, not the other guys one. And he will be translating the dialogue/speech so yes, the story will be translated, Magnius himself said this previously.
So as far as I know, everything you just said, Sparky1344, is wrong. Magnius is the owner of this translation, not some other guys. Magnius is the one doing the translating right now and is the one releasing the patches that he made, not anyone else.
Get your facts straight please. Magnius is doing his own translation, not the other guys one. And he will be translating the dialogue/speech so yes, the story will be translated, Magnius himself said this previously. So as far as I know, everything you just said, Sparky1344, is wrong. Magius is the owner of this translation, not some other guys. Magius is the one doing the translating right now and is the one releasing the patches that he made, not anyone else.
Get your facts straight please. This is great! I did find one thing not translated near the beginning, though.
(assuming this is for all starters) if you nickname your starter, the next line of text is in japanese for me. EDIT: here's a list of extra things i found. (I'm being picky =D) 1. If you try leaving New Bark Town without talking to your mom first, the lady says, 'Wait,.name.!' Then the next couple of text boxes are japanese. I'm not sure if this is what it really says in SS, but your mom says 'Pokemon Gear, or Pokegear.'
But no 'for short' at the end. When you leave New Bark Town, Elm walks out and gives you his number. Instead of saying something like '.name. received Elm's number!' , it's in japanese. When the old man is talking about the Poke Mart, he says 'and other usefull items' instead of useful. Also, when you leave Cherrygrove, there should be a comma after the word 'Oh' in his first text box.
A few of your rival's text boxes are in japanese, one in the battle. Kotone/Hikibi says '.Hmm' instead of something like '.Hmm.' Pretty much just check the grammar for when they teach you how to catch a pokemon.
